Used to have a normal life, Worked every day from nine to five, Still lived at home with family, still young. In just one night, all that changed, My preconceptions rearranged, The night I met the traveller, the one Who set me free, Who said to me… Come take my hand, and then away we’ll fly, I’ll show you a world you’ve never known. So take a trip with me through space and time, I’ll pick you up ten minutes ago. I miss the ones I’ve left behind, But never would I have declined, Impossible to think two years had passed. The sights few mortal eyes have seen, We’ve visited by time machine, Can’t pinch myself, for fear it won’t last ‘Til I grow old. Still I am told… Come take my hand, And never let go…

The Soldier 05:16
I heard my country calling, away across the sea, Across the waste of waters she calls and calls to me. If I should fall, should thy heart break, Think only this: “for England’s sake!” If I should die, think only this of me: That there's some corner of a foreign field That is for ever England. In that rich earth, a richer dust concealed; A dust whom England bore, shaped, made aware, Her ways to roam, breathing English air. Her sword is girded at her side, her helmet on her head, And round her feet are lying the dying and the dead. I hear the noise of battle, the thunder of her guns, I haste to thee my mother, a son among thy sons. Sneak home and pray you'll never know The Hell where youth and laughter go.

We stand on the front line as the rain starts to fall, Waiting in silence with our loaded guns. Wondering if it’s worth it, if it’s worth fighting for, Watching as they come. A beam of death sweeps their path dry, Monsters of metal a hundred feet high, And not a chance that I’ll survive. And even though I’m terrified I have never felt more alive, I feel it burning me inside. Our orders seemed so simple: But simply can’t be done. No way that we can stop them, And the Infinite War goes on. Onwards, their advance comes, can we do anything? Out of the shadows, unbidden, doubts flood. Is this all I’m meant for, just a name on a grave? One among billions. What the Hell am I doing here? We’ve been fighting for a thousand years, And I don’t see the end being near. We’re set to fight, and soon to fall, Give our lives for no gain at all, I never asked to go to war. Will this make any difference? How can this war be won? It all just seems so pointless, And the Infinite War goes on. Everything I say Every time I pray gets Blown away, it means bugger-all today. Now that the end is near, I taste the fear, I smell the tears, And unless God himself should appear, There’s nothing to get me the hell out of here. It’s just me and my gear, My path laid out clear, My life not so dear. So I take up my spear, And from my throat comes a cheer, And into certain death I disappear. Our mutual mass extinction Is all we’re fighting for. Now nothing less will end it, And the Infinite War… How long can this continue? Our dark millennium. Trapped in a downward spiral, And the Infinite War goes on. O Lord, can no one save us? For now our lives are gone, They didn’t even notice, And the Infinite War goes on…

The light has gone, the silence swallows me. Around the loss, comforts echo hollowly. I wish they helped, but nothing can alter how The thing I loved the most is behind me now. When shadows lengthen, it’s here I hide. Thoughts of somewhere safe, a warm place deep inside. Take me away from all Earthly care, I will escape into my world so fair. How I long for fields of green, And oceans of deep blue. How I wish for distant shores, And faces I once knew. Safe in the knowledge That all pain will pass in time, My dreams become my guide, ‘Cause hope survives. Nothing can reach me inside my fantasy, The world outside so far removed from me. A realm of light and endless innocence, Untouched by time, its beauty never spent. My strength rekindled, I stand and face the truth, Leaving behind those golden days of youth. This world is cold, and though my dreams were sweet, Whatever comes, I'll face it on my feet. For fields of green… For oceans blue… For starry skies… For waters swift… (How I long…) For distant shores… For mountains tall… (How I long…) For ever more… I will retreat, Yes hope will survive above all, I will regroup, There’s hope at the heart of the soul, I will return, Just hold onto hope when you fall, ‘Cause hope survives.

Deep in space, trapped far from home, On a planet that cannot exist, Men have found, deep underground, Power so great they cannot resist. He is awake. He bathes in the Black Sun. So they drill ten miles down In pursuit of the power of their dreams. Up above strange things occur, Subtle clues all is not as it seems. He is awake. He bathes in the Black Sun. The Beast and His armies shall rise from the Pit And make war against God. He is awake (and you will worship Him). He bathes in the Black Sun. The Beast and His armies shall rise from the Pit And make war against God. Not a power plant but a prison, Sometimes things are best left buried, All was fine until the humans came. In their greed they delved too deep, In the darkness they awoke Shadow and Flame. “These are the words of the Beast, and He has woken. He is the Heart that beats in Darkness, Blood that will never cease. Now He will rise. We are the Legion of the Beast, we shall be many. He has woven Himself in the fabric of your life Since the dawn of time. Some call Him Abaddon Some may call Him Kroptor Some may call Him Satan Or Lucifer. Or the Deathless Prince, Or Bringer Of Despair, These are the words that Shall set Him free.” “I am the temptation I am the sin and desire I am the pain and loss The dead will come. I have been imprisoned For all eternity. No more, the Pit is open And I am free.”

My god carries a hammer, His fiery hair is long, His thunderous chariot shall shake the Earth, His people proud and strong. My god carries a hammer, He’ll lead us into war. The meek may well inherit the Earth, But we’ll take it by force. Thunder! It rolls through the night, He calls us all to war. Shall we follow? Should we take up the fight? Shall we heed the call of Thor? My god carries a hammer, He rides across the sky. A call to arms for those who serve, And those who don’t shall die.

3 a.m. 06:48
3 A.M. and wide awake, I wait for day to break, Left alone with one mistake. With all the guilt I'd love to share, To show you it's still there, But it's far too late to care. I never meant to cause these scars. I never dreamt you’d have to carry them this far. I never thought it would be I Who made mistakes too hideous for time to ever rectify, And you’re stuck with them for life. What have I done? Oh God, how could I do this? What will become Of lives that I have ruined? Not a chance that time will save, These scars will never fade, Still as sharp as when first made. I think of things you'll never do, Ambitions you once knew, Crushed by all I've done to you. I never questioned how I’d live I never guessed I’d have to pray you’d not forgive. I never knew how much I’d hate I’d hate myself for miseries I never wanted to create, And of course, I’m years too late. But worst of all, on nights like this, The guilt weighs on my mind, And in the morning I'll forget, And carry on just fine.

Meat & Mead 03:17
The road so far’s been treacherous, Every terrain adverse. And up ahead the sky is dark, We know things will get worse. So, my friends, come gather ‘round, This could be our last supper Let’s gorge ourselves on meat and mead, And finish off with a cuppa. Raise your glasses fearlessly We’ll toast the end of hope Don’t forget this golden day, And somehow we shall cope. Don’t regret the bad times we’ve shared, Embrace them with the good. I’d do it all the same again, In fact I wish that I could. So this is not a meal of thanks, More of a celebration, And when the walls are closing in We’ll remember this elation. Soon we’ll go our separate ways, But first we shall be free To live one day like it’s our last, Because it might well be. Raise your glasses fearlessly We’ll toast the end of hope All we need is one good day To know that we can cope. Fate waits with awakening, But first we must decree To live one day like it’s our last, Because it might well be. So here we all are, I’ll remember you all this way: Almost dead yesterday, maybe dead tomorrow, But alive, gloriously alive, today!

Part 1 – The Prophecy You’ve gone too far this time, You’ve crossed that fatal line, And nothing you do now can take it back. You’ll suffer one and all, And all the world shall fall, And now you have to pay for such an act. You lead us all into Hell. Part 2 – The Damnation Of Man Not even God Dreamt that we could be so damned, He thought us oh so tame. For Satan rests, Who needs Him when we have Man? We’ve just ourselves to blame. What have we done? How could we have been so bold? We took it all for granted. Too late to change, Should have stopped when we were told, Our seeds of doom are planted. We are but shadows in the night, The Earth a sinner’s paradise And it’s time to pay the price. We are dead men walking, With nowhere left to run. We waste time talking, When nothing can be done. We will suffer for our sins, We will pay for everything. We will burn for what we’ve done, We have debts we can’t outrun. We will pay our dues in blood. You have led us into Hell. Part 3 – A Prayer For The World We’ve acted ever selfishly, Never did we pause to think Of consequences up ahead, And now we stand on the brink Of the death and the destruction Of all that we hold dear. The empire of Man is crumbling, We know the end is near. We raise our hands to Heaven, And cry out “Father, please, We know our ignorance is no excuse, We know we should have thought it through, We beg for mercy, Though we know that we’re not worthy.” This is a prayer for the world, A last cry for forgiveness. “We know that we have blackened all you made, And from the righteous path we’ve strayed. We beg for mercy, Though we know we don’t deserve it.” This is the anthem for a doomed truth, The death of a certainty. And we shall reap what we have sown, Future thrown to the wind and the wolves. Beyond salvation, with nothing to reap but whirlwind. Part 4 – Judgement Day Look at the choices we have made, Were they worth the price we paid? Now we die, on Judgement Day! “And the world was aflame, but the people did not see the fire, they could not feel the heat, they were not aware of the smoke slowly choking them to death. They carried on with their lives, unknowingly feeding the flames, throwing petrol on them as they burned brighter and brighter. And I thought it biblical. And only when it was too late did the people realise what they had done. They saw the fires, but the Earth had already been blackened beyond hope. And a long, painful death came to all those who lived, and everything beautiful burned. And we deserved it.” You lead us all into Hell.

It worries me, Will my music last until the end of everything? So fate take heed, I don’t plan on being forgotten when you bury me. Now I just need To think of something I can say that’s worth remembering I’m here to stay, I won’t fade away. When I’m gone, I’ll live on, I won’t be left behind, I’ll make my mark on history. My name will remain, It won’t be lost in time or sink into obscurity. I’m here to stay (In never-ending memory) I will not fade away. I understand That half my words don’t mean a thing because they’re black and white But here I stand, Though one-dimensional I hope that I can leave behind A face in the sand, A final sign of how I raged against the dying light. I’m here to stay, I won’t fade away. When I’m gone, I’ll live on, I won’t be left behind, I’ll make my mark on history. My thought will be sought, They won’t be lost in time or sink into obscurity. I’m here to stay (I leave behind my legacy) I will not fade away. Now I’m gone, I live on, A thousand years or so have passed and still my music sells. Though interred, I’m still heard, ’Cause what I lacked in depth, I made up for in decibels. Now I’m gone, I live on, I won’t be left behind, I made my mark on history. My name still remains, It won’t be lost in time or sink into obscurity. I’m here to stay (You’ll never hear the last of me) I will not fade away. Now I’m gone, I live on, Though interred, I’m still heard For ever and ever, I will not fade away.
