You’ve gone too far this time,
You’ve crossed that fatal line,
And nothing you do now can take it back.
You’ll suffer one and all,
And all the world shall fall,
And now you have to pay for such an act.
You lead us all into Hell.
Part 2 – The Damnation Of Man
Not even God
Dreamt that we could be so damned,
He thought us oh so tame.
For Satan rests,
Who needs Him when we have Man?
We’ve just ourselves to blame.
What have we done?
How could we have been so bold?
We took it all for granted.
Too late to change,
Should have stopped when we were told,
Our seeds of doom are planted.
We are but shadows in the night,
The Earth a sinner’s paradise
And it’s time to pay the price.
We are dead men walking,
With nowhere left to run.
We waste time talking,
When nothing can be done.
We will suffer for our sins,
We will pay for everything.
We will burn for what we’ve done,
We have debts we can’t outrun.
We will pay our dues in blood.
You have led us into Hell.
Part 3 – A Prayer For The World
We’ve acted ever selfishly,
Never did we pause to think
Of consequences up ahead,
And now we stand on the brink
Of the death and the destruction
Of all that we hold dear.
The empire of Man is crumbling,
We know the end is near.
We raise our hands to Heaven,
And cry out “Father, please,
We know our ignorance is no excuse,
We know we should have thought it through,
We beg for mercy,
Though we know that we’re not worthy.”
This is a prayer for the world,
A last cry for forgiveness.
“We know that we have blackened all you made,
And from the righteous path we’ve strayed.
We beg for mercy,
Though we know we don’t deserve it.”
This is the anthem for a doomed truth,
The death of a certainty.
And we shall reap what we have sown,
Future thrown to the wind and the wolves.
Beyond salvation, with nothing to reap but whirlwind.
Part 4 – Judgement Day
Look at the choices we have made,
Were they worth the price we paid?
Now we die, on Judgement Day!
“And the world was aflame, but the people did not see the fire, they could not feel the heat, they were not aware of the smoke slowly choking them to death. They carried on with their lives, unknowingly feeding the flames, throwing petrol on them as they burned brighter and brighter. And I thought it biblical.
And only when it was too late did the people realise what they had done. They saw the fires, but the Earth had already been blackened beyond hope. And a long, painful death came to all those who lived, and everything beautiful burned. And we deserved it.”
